A national stud horse breeding facility in Tully, County Kildare, Ireland

The Irish National Stud

Since its conception in 1971, the Thoroughbred Breeding course based at the Irish National Stud has become the best known equine training courses of its type for young graduates in Ireland in the world.

The Irish National Stud is the 3rd largest breeder of thoroughbreds in the world. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Irish National Stud in Tully, Kildare Kildare in May 2011.

The Japanese Gardens

The gardens offer a seamless mixture of Eastern and Western cultures. The Japanese Gardens were created between the years 1906 and 1910. More that 120,000 visitors visit the gardens each year.

Saint Fiachra's Garden

Designed by the famous landscape architect Professor Martin Hallinan, Saint Fiachra's Gardens combines rocks and water, lakes and streams to create a harmony inspired by Ireland's monastic movement in the 6th and 7th centuries. The garden commemorates Saint Fiachra, the patron saint of gardeners.

The Horse Museum

The horse museum at the Irish National Stud displays the skeleton of Arkle, a famous Irish thoroughbred racehorse.
