This is a charming, high quality detached farmhouse cottage situated on the borders of Leitrim, Cavan and Fermanagh, 1 hour East of Sligo.

The cottage sits in open countryside on a working farm, overlooking the beautiful Lough MacNean.

Comfortable accommodation over two floors with fully-equipped kitchen, dining and living area.

Ground floor ensuite bedroom. Upstairs is a family bedroom with double and single bed, plus another double bedroom and large family bathroom.

Local pub and restaurant and shop in Glenfarne, 1.5 km.

Blacklion (6 km) has further amenities including pubs and restaurants.

The property is situated in open countryside on a working farm on the borders of Leitrim, Cavan and Fermanagh, overlooking beautiful Lough MacNean.

Local pub and restaurant and shop in Glenfarne, 1.5 km.

Blacklion (6 km) has further amenities including pubs and restaurants including the famous award-winning MacNean House Restaurant owned by top chef Neven Maguire.

Supermarket, pharmacy and more pubs in Belcoo, just across the border in Northen Ireland.

Main town of Sligo, 60 minutes.

WHAT TO DO;

Glenfarne Nature Trail (1.5 km) – beautiful marked walks along the scenic Lough McNean.

The Cavan Burren - a unique and prehistoric landscape of monuments, megalithic tombs and spectacular geology which is recognized as one of the finest relict landscapes of its size in all of Ireland.

The Shannon Pot – a pool in the Karst landscape which is the source of the River Shannon.

The Leitrim and Cavan Ways – marked walking/cycling trails.

The White Fathers Cave (2.5 km)– famous for caving adventures.

Cuilcagh Mountain Trail– this area is designated as a wetland of international importance. The raised wooden boardwalk must be seen to be believed with glorious views as you climb 1.6 km on a newly constructed raised wooden boardwalk with 120 stepped sections leading to main mountain staircase followed by 450 steps over 36 flights which protects the blanket bog terrain.

Glencar Waterfall – 11 km West of Manorhamilton, County Leitrim.

Florencecourt House and Gardens – large National Trust 18th century house and estate located just a few miles from Blacklion.

Blacklion Golf Club – 9 hole parkland golf course situated on the shores of Lough McNean. The lake comes into play on four holes and there are some magnificent views of Lough MacNean, its islands and surrounding hills. It has been described as one of the best maintained nine-hole courses in Ireland and one of the most scenic.

Fishing – Cavan is widely regarded as Ireland’s finest fishing destination. No licence or fee required to enjoy coarse fishing in County Cavan.

Shopping – the towns of Enniskillen, Carrick on Shannon and Sligo are only a short car trip away.
